The Bolt EV's electric engine produces 200 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. The transmission has just one speed.
Performance
This hatchback has a quiet ride and excellent acceleration. It can reach 60 mpg in just 6.5 seconds, and it has a 259-mile range on a full charge. You can travel 127 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent) in the city and 108 MPGe on the highway. Charging with the standard 120-volt charging cord adds about 4 miles of range per hour. You can add a 240-volt charging unit that can give you around 25 miles of range per hour of charging. DC fast-charging compatibility with public charging stations is available, as well. One of these stations can provide about 100 miles of range in half an hour. You can choose normal driving or a one-pedal mode that increases the amount of regenerative braking, letting you use the brake much less. There's also a sport driving mode that makes the accelerator more responsive. The Bolt EV's low center of gravity means it can make tight turns, and it comes with power steering, front-wheel drive, an electronic parking brake, and an independent suspension.
Interior
This vehicle has a high-tech, modern interior with plenty of features. You'll get a 12-volt power outlet, a Wi-Fi hot spot, a six-speaker sound system, a 10.2-inch touch screen, and 56.6 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded down. Keyless entry, an outdoor temperature display, push-button start, remote start, SiriusXM satellite radio, and heating and air conditioning vents for the rear seats are also standard. You can also add a heated steering wheel, a Bose seven-speaker audio system, heated leather seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, wireless charging, and extra storage underneath the cargo floor. ?
