In the field of crossover SUVs, drivers have a variety of excellent offerings to choose from. Two of the best are the 2020 Chevy Equinox and the 2020 Honda CR-V. While they both offer a few excellent features, it's clear that the Equinox comes out on top.

Cabin Seating

Both vehicles seat five passengers in two rows of seats. Despite being slightly smaller overall than the Honda CR-V, the Chevy Equinox provides more rear-passenger hip room for comfortable adult seating. Both SUVs give you a considerable amount of cargo space in the rear of the SUV. They also offer convenience features like cruise control, but the Equinox includes upgrades like lighted vanity mirrors and two 12-volt outlets compared to the CR-V's one 12-volt outlet.

Powertrain and Towing

The Equinox and the CR-V both come standard with 1.5-liter four-cylinder engines. The Equinox's engine pairs beautifully with a six-speed automatic transmission, while the CR-V mates to a CVT. All trim levels of the Equinox can tow up to 1,500 pounds on their own, while the CR-V has to be outfitted with a trailering package to do the same.

Infotainment

All Equinox trims offer a 7-inch touch-screen infotainment system with Chevy's outstanding MyLink interface. The base model CR-V provides a 5-inch touch screen, while higher-end models offer a 7-inch touch screen. Both cars get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility as well, though the Equinox also comes with the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System with a natural voice recognition system.

While both SUVs provide a host of standard and available features designed to make driving easier and more enjoyable, the cabin, engine, and infotainment available in the Equinox clearly outmatches the CR-V.
